The name "Star Fusion Group (光聚晶電聯合)" originates from "Star" (光) symbolizing vision and energy, "Fusion" (聚) representing integration and synergy, "Crystal" (晶) corresponding to core semiconductor capabilities, "Electric" (電) connecting electrical control, computing power and energy applications, while "Group" (聯合) conveys platform-based collaboration. The company was renamed in December 2025, established and led by Chairman David Tu. He has long been deeply engaged in technology investment and corporate governance, with experience spanning financial integration, supply chain, and capital market practices.
